Frecce Tricolori

Italy

The Frecce Tricolori ("Tricolour Arrows") is the official aerobatic display team of the Italian Air Force, founded in 1961 and based at Rivolto Air Base in northern Italy. Flying ten aircraft (nine in formation plus a solo), it is one of the largest aerobatic teams in the world, famous for its big-formation manoeuvres and for trailing smoke in the red, white and green of the Italian flag. The team flew the MB-339 for many years and is now transitioning to the new M-345 trainer.
