The J-15 Flying Shark is a twin-engine heavy carrier-based fighter developed by Shenyang Aircraft Corporation. It first flew in 2009 and made its first deck landing on the carrier Liaoning in 2012, and it is the main fighter of the Chinese Navy's carrier air wings. With folding wings, strengthened landing gear and an arrestor hook, it flies air-superiority and anti-ship or strike missions. It has since been developed into the catapult-capable J-15T and the J-15D electronic-warfare variant; the J-15T made its public debut at Airshow China 2024 in Zhuhai.
